Our Ayurveda massage training course is suitable for experienced massage therapists who are trained in aromatherapy massage, holistic massage, sports massage, tai massage, reflexology and therapeutic massage. However, it is also suitable foe those with no prior massage experience. Ayurvedic massage training is run over five days and includes Indian head massage (Shiro abhyanga), foot massage (Pada abhyanga), hand massage (Hasta abhyanga), and herbalised oil massage of the front and back of the body. After completing the first five days of our stage one Abhyanga massage training course, students will be invited to partake in our advanced massage training courses which includes Vishesh massage (a deep, sports type massage), Udvartana massage (a herbal paste scrub), marma therapy massage and face rejuvenation massage (a.k.a. Ayurvedic face lift massage or Ayurveda facial). Whilst it is useful to have a basic understanding of Ayurveda prior to beginning the Ayurveda massage training course this is by no means essential as all Ayurvedic reading material and theoretical background will be given during the training course. The main Ayurvedic massage taught on our courses is Abhyanga massage which is for stress management and general relaxation; Vishesh massage for reducing muscle tension, Udvatana massage for weight loss and Garshan massage which uses raw silk gloves for exfoliation. Ayurvedic massage can be incorporated into spas, salons and health farms very easily as it works well in conjunction with most types of massage including; aromatherapy massage, sports massage, yoga massage, holistic massage, tai massage and therapeutic massage. All our Ayurvedic massage training courses include lunch and an opportunity to practice on other students, the tutors and members of the public. Our Ayurveda massage training course also includes a comprehensive one-hour DVD that will make it easy to check the Ayurveda massage sequence should you be unsure. A sixty page Ayurveda massage instruction manual is also issued which can be used in conjunction with the Ayurvedic massage training DVD it includes full instructions with diagrams and photos of the massage strokes, positions and sequence.
